Steve Katz is one of the preeminent figures and leading thinkers in matters of information security. Mr. Katz is the world's first Chief Information Security Officer having been CISO at Citibank/Citigroup, JP Morgan, and Merrill Lynch. Well known and deeply respected, Katz has testified to Congress on information security issues, was appointed as the Financial Services Sector Coordinator for Critical Infrastructure Protection by the Secretary of the Treasury, and has spoken at numerous industry conferences.
Mr. Katz has served as a Founder and Chairman of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center, Chairman of the American Bankers Association Information Systems Security Committee, Vice Chair Financial Services Roundtable-BITS Security and Risk Assessment Committee, and Member of both the New York Clearinghouse Banks Data Security Officers Committee, and the Securities Industry Association Information Security Committee.
